about

Weather The Storm initially had me throwing together a considerable amount of leftover riffs and ideas, and seeing whether they would actually stick. I guess they did rather well. The first part revolves around a recurring slightly folky rock riff in 6/8. The interlude goes into some King Crimson inspired whole-tone harmonics, before launching a weird brass section. The second part consists of variations on a riff inspired by Adrian Belew's 'Ampersand' (from his album Side One) and a short return of a section from 'Polka In The Face Of Peril.'
