Pushin Up The Daisies was written in november-december of 2014. This is the most straightforward rocking track of the entire set. I aimed at a classic New Wave of British Heavy Metal feel, with hooks and major chords. The song started out as an excersise in churning out as much riffs as I possibly could. Some riffs fit together quite nice and resulted in this song. One riff from the same writing session survived elsewhere, namely the riff (with the Balkan chord progression) in the bridge of Out on A Limb.
