Polka In The Face Of Peril was written in june and july of 2015. I really can't remember where the inspiration for the music came from. I do remember however that the loooong melody in de middle section took a lot of work. This moment with its tense atmosphere does however happen to be one of my personal favourites of the album. For the reprise I used a sample from some sort of french radio broadcast. I had intended to use more samples for the album overall, but this was one of the few instances I had found something that actually worked.
