Plain Sailing is the psychedelic track of the album. It was inspired by music like Type O Negative's 'Can't Loose You' and even older music. Plain Sailing basically wrote itself, hence the title. I heard the main melody fly by one day (february 2015). I played it, wrote it down, added a minimum of chords and loads of instrumentation, et voila: Plain Sailing was born. The track has two main ideas. The first idea revolves around the chord progression E, D/F#, G, F#m7, G, E. For the second riff I more or less simply reversed the order of the melody and the tonal centres (G to E). This is, on the one hand, an excercise in economics; on the other hand this is just one nifty little melody.
